This painting was difficult for Laura to feel satisfied with. It just did not seem to come together. But the ubiquitous bathroom trip produced a familiar effect - when she returned to the work with a fresh perspective, there it was. It appears almost photo realistic from a distance, and more rough and impressionistic up close.
